Rebecca Buxton is an author, illustrator and artist from Nottingham. Born profoundly deaf, autistic and dyslexic, she felt her dream of becoming an author was unattainable and overwhelming. After experiencing health problems, she became determined to overcome the difficulties she faced and started to write her first children’s story. With help translating from BSL, she wrote, illustrated and self-published her first book on the topic of bees. Through Arkbound Publishers, she has published her second book, Prickleus Gets Caught, about hedgehogs, incorporating her passion for wildlife conservation and her concern for the well-being of children.
